In Memory of Don Winsauer

Since Don was a young man, he lived his life caring for his family and community either through volunteering or through his donations. Over the years, he helped countless organizations whether joining the fight to end cancer or supporting a local school. When he learned his niece wanted to start a nonprofit with a mission to serve youth in need of resources, Don jumped into action to provided the financial support and in-kind donations the organization needed to get started and to sustain its mission. Since Kids In Need of McHenry County was founded in 2019, 1000s of children have received holiday assistance, school supplies, diapers, winter coats and countless other needed supplies and resources. Although much has been accomplished, KIN still has a long way to go to ensure every child has the resources for a healthy and happy childhood.
